Esa Ruskeepää delivers original designs for outstanding buildings. Together with a small group of dedicated professionals, he aspires to create architecture that is both elemental and universal.
The studio works on a few projects at a time, allowing appropriate time and attention for the development of balanced architectural concepts and precise construction details. The design work in all phases as well as all the detailing of execution is personally supervised by Esa Ruskeepää.
Esa Ruskeepää was born in Finland in 1980. He studied architecture at the Helsinki University of Technology in 2000–2007 and trained with, among others, Atelier Peter Zumthor in Haldenstein and OMA in New York. In 2012 Esa Ruskeepää opened his office in Helsinki. He has taught courses such as “Building Design” and “Basics and Theory of Architecture” at Aalto University in Helsinki since 2008. Esa Ruskeepää was awarded the Arts Promotion Centre of Finland State Artist Grant in 2009 and 2016–2018.
