Cornerstone laying in Wolfsburg, Germany

Hellwinkel Day Care will have its cornerstone laid on October 22nd, 2018. The official ceremony will take place at the construction site at Reislinger Straße 30, Wolfsburg, Germany and will begin at 14:00. Hellwinkel Day Care is designed by Esa Ruskeepää in collaboration with Günther Vogt and scheduled for completion in January 2020.

Art museum competition in Tammisaari, Finland

September 2018

Albert de la Chapelles konststiftelse will organize a competition for a privately funded art museum in Tammisaari, Finland. The museum's collections include, among others, paintings by Magnus Hjalmar Munsterhjelm, Helene Schjerfbeck, Ellen Thesleff and Maria Wiik. Esa Ruskeepää will take part in the competition among six architects invited to submit designs for the new museum. The competition will run from September to December 2018 and will be resolved in March 2019.

Exhibition of student work at Museum of Finnish Architecture in Helsinki, Finland

The Museum of Finnish Architecture will hold an exhibition of student work titled ‘Urban Façade’. The exhibition is based on a master’s level studio at Aalto University’s School of Arts, Design, and Architecture, led by professor Jenni Reuter and taught in cooperation with architects Simon Mahringer and Esa Ruskeepää in 2017. The project site, which is currently under redevelopment, is a plot located next to the Museum of Finnish Architecture, at the corner of Kasarmikatu and Punanotkonkatu. The exhibition will run from June 13th to September 16th, 2018 at the Museum of Finnish Architecture, Kasarmikatu 24, Helsinki, Finland. Architects Simon Mahringer and Esa Ruskeepää will take part in a panel discussion at the exhibition opening on June 12th at 17:00.

Exhibition of student work at Aalto University in Espoo, Finland

Professor Jenni Reuter’s ‘Architectural Principles and Theory’ will present students’ work from the master’s level studio ‘Urban Façade’. The studio was taught in cooperation with architects Simon Mahringer and Esa Ruskeepää. The exhibition is organized by Aalto University’s School of Arts, Design, and Architecture and will run from March 27th to April 8th, 2018 at Beta Space, Otakaari 1 X, Espoo, Finland.
